Description
What is the Alexander Technique?
This enlivening method of self-care has existed for more than 100 years. F.M. Alexander (1869-1955) discovered that the key to solving his theatrical vocal problems lay in changing how he used his body for speaking. He worked out a method to inhibit unnecessary tensions that were interfering with his natural capacity for full and free breathing, balance, and power. During his lifetime he helped many people who were inadvertently creating problems for themselves – performers, athletes, office workers, caregivers, and others. Today, certified teachers share Alexander’s technique through hands-on guidance.
