The Red Cardinal children are so excited to know that they can make a difference in another child’s life, and help to better our school.

The children learned about vowels and consonants, how to put letters in order and how to distinguish which five letters are vowels. After fun activities on the subject with their teachers, it was time to create the letters using their own bodies.

The children worked in small groups of two, three or four to physically make the alphabets. It was so exciting!

They posed together to form a letter, often more than one, and had their photos taken by Mr. Jay. While waiting for their photo to be taken, they worked with Ms Brunie on drawing pictures of items that begin with the letter they were going to create with their bodies.

This work culminated in an extraordinary book, featuring the children’s pictures and drawings, together with a poster that includes all the 26 letters formed by your children.

By working together on this project, our Red Cardinals understood that other children, future VPC students, were going to be blessed by their teamwork. We are extremely proud of all their work and the final product!
