Description
Enjoy a sampling of Iberian red wines:
Tres Picos Borsao Garnacha 2012: The terrific 2012 Tres Picos is one of the finest inexpensive, Grenache-based wines made in the world. This full-bodied beauty boasts a deep ruby color as well as loads of strawberry and black cherry fruit, hints of lavender and crushed rocks, sweet tannin, and a broad, savory mouthful. - b-21.
Casaleiro Reserva Vinho Regional Tejo 2012: This wine is fairly young as a 2012 but is drinking very nice. Nose of ripe fruit and red berry, which continues onto the palate, opening up with more strawberry, cherry and red licorice (more Nibs actually), the ripe fruit is balanced with nice acidity, and a finish that is dry and lasting- Costcowineblog.com
Ramos Reserva Vinho Regional Alentejano 2013: As part of Alentejo based João Ramos’s venture to the north, he has produced this rich and creamy wine, which is typical Vinho Verde only in name. It is full-bodied, lightly toasty and rich, only hinting at yellow fruits. This is worth aging, so keep until the end of 2015. — R.V. (10/1/2014) from Wine Enthusiast Catalog.
