Description

Unique cognac distilled from "Uni Blanc" grapes from Dominique Chainier's proper vineyards in the Grand Champagne, the top vinegrowing/cru region for Cognac. After vignification of the wine, the wine undergoes a double distill in a "Alambic Charentais" still. The spirit will then rest for at least 6 yearsb in a oak barrel. This process gives this cognac its particular soft tanines and its complex and smooth aromas.

The youngest spirit in the Cognac XO form Dominique Chainier is at least 14 years old, the oldest, ......? That's Dominque's or the cellarmaster's secret.

Chainier is family owned and one of the most prestigious customer of the Chainier grapes and spirits is Remy Martin.

Grande Champagne being THE vinegrowing region of cognac because it has the most chalk in the soil compared to the other regions. The spirits form the Grande Champagne having aromas as jasmine and lime blossom, which are the best suited for long ageing.
