Description
A Cabernet Sauvignon - Bordeaux style blend made by the award winning Paul Hobbs.
The grapes for this wine are coming from different small production vineyard from distinctive growing sites in Napa; Beckstoffer-Tokalon, Stagecoach Hyde and Black. All of them have distinctive soil structure and vineyard inclination from well drained lightlycolored gravelly soils to mountaintop with rocky red volcanic, clay loam soils with southwest exposure over hillside alluvial sandy clay soils. All of these "terroirs" bring richness and diversity to the wine.
The grapes are handharvested, after the winemaking, the wine rested for 20 months in Demptos and Taransaud French oak barrels.
Blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot
This brilliant wine with aromas of boysonberry, plum, blackcurrant, flavors of coffee, tones of cedar from the barrellayering can be drunk now and should continue to reveal additional nuances in the years to come.
