Description

Cabernet Sauvignon from the Hall - Menodocino dynasty made in St. Helena.

Originally planted in 1859 by New England sea captain William Peterson, the St. Helena Bergfeld vineyard was among the first in Napa Valley. It has been named Bergfeld in homage to wine pioneer Robert Bergfeld, who owned the property from 1894 until 1910.

This Cabernet is a classically Bordeaux blend of 86% Cabernet, 7% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, all from the Hall Estate vineyard in St Helena. Grown in the soils of an ancient valley floor riverbed, this fruit yields a restrained, round, full-bodied wine with particular uniform focus. Dense ruby/purple in color, this wine displays harmonious notes of ripe blueberry and earthy tobacco with a long finish.

To be enjoyed now.
