The farm buildings of Sesta di Sopra, purchased by the Spina family in 1980, date back to the 1200s. With vineyards located just south of Montalcino, the estate’s geographical location is hugely favourable to grape production. The Brunello’s rich velvety character complemented by ripe wild berries and spices, when young, has great potential to evolve into a beautifully intense, soft and smoky wine. This 100% Sangiovese spends at least 24 months in Slovenian oak barrels. Mushroom, berry and plum aromas follow through to a full body, with silky and ripe tannins and lots of crushed fruit and berry character. Long and intense. Wonderful and refined. 330 cases made.

Ruby red color. Blackberries and plum with a hint of spices. After opening the wine gets better every hour. Velvety round tannins. At it's peak in 2014. Superb.

The history of Tenimenti Angelini began in Tuscany in 1994, with the simultaneous purchase of the Val di Suga, TreRose, and San Leonino wine estates. But the Angelini’s family ties with the lands and the world of wine go much farther back in time.  Val di Suga is the group’s wine estate in Montalcino, the birthplace of the most prestigious of our denominations: Brunello di Montalcino. The property extends over an area of 120 hectares, 55 of which are planted in Sangiovese vines. Sangiovese Grosso 100% from the Val di Suga vineyards in Montalcino. Intense ruby red with purple highlights, very rich and complex, with aromas of small red fruits, and enriched spicy toasted tones. Powerful and elegant, with a long aromatic finish. Excellent with game, grilled and roast meat and cheese

Powerful, structured and complete wine, full of spice, earth and hints of leather. A classic in this very ripe vintage, capable of aging 20-30 years. Dynamic size and character. This estate is located southeast of the town of Montalcino near the estates of Cerbaiona and La Serena.
