This silent auction item will be presented for final bidding at our annual picnic on Thursday, August 6th.

Leland artist Brenda Clark will mentor two people on a four hour painting trek in Leelanau. She will work with the high bidder on a day and time that works for your duo, and will paint and work with you at a Leelanau Conservancy natural area of your choosing. It could be the meadow at Clay Cliffs, overlooking Lake Leelanau. It could be on the shores of Kehl Lake, or it could mean taking your paint box to the deck at Whaleback Natural Area. You decide.  

While out on location in Leelanau county, Brenda will work with two participants on an individual level according to their artistic backgrounds. There are many reasons individuals are attracted to a personal trek: personal growth to actually painting. Brenda will lead them through her own painting process (including the method of choosing a subject), and instruct them toward the creation of their own artwork.

Participant will need to bring painting supplies or if you don’t have them, Brenda will provide at a cost of $50. All details will be discussed in advance regarding supplies and other.  In case of rain or inclement weather, participant and artist will reschedule.
