About the artist:

Sheen Watkins resides in Birmingham, Michigan with her husband and their two dogs.  As a family, they spend many hours each week immersed in nature.   A long term birder, she had wished for many years for a camera to capture the beauty of the birds she experienced behind binoculars.

Her wish came true.  Initially, she focused primarily on birds, then wildlife using telephoto lenses   It wasn't long until the photography bug took hold and she expanded  into macro and landscape photography. 

Sheen's photography and writings have  been featured in blogs, articles and recently a news story on Fox 2 News in Detroit, Michigan.  She's a member of the global writing team for Light Stalking, a site dedicated to creating beautiful photography for photographers at all levels.

She also serves on the board for Saving Birds Thru Habitat.  This organization's mission is to bring awareness about the need for planting local, native plants to preserve the food source desperately needed by migrating birds.
