Bio: Art has been important to me my whole life, influenced in large part by my grandmother who was an accomplished painter.  Because of her (also my namesake), my parents allowed me significant freedom to partake in all things creative.  I indulged in a variety of media, techniques and styles – traditional, contemporary, surreal, pop -- all that was around and developing in the 60’s and 70’s.  I also did a fair amount of illustration and cartoons with commentary for high school and university newspapers. But ultimately, I have settled into using my art to be something permanently meaningful -- like a diary, or perhaps a documentary and a means to tell a story about something I know to be true.
