Rosemont is a group of everyday neighborhood food markets, staffed by food lovers who want your every meal to be memorable. Everything they do is based on their relationships with local growers and producers of good things to eat and drink. Rosemont is also a bakery where every day we bake handmade breads, pastries, cakes and pies. Rosemont’s kitchen makes delicious prepared foods to go, including soups and sandwiches, appetizers, salads and dinners.

The high bidder will receive a Bread Certificate “punch card” good for three free loaves of bread. Every day, Rosemont bakers make breads, by hand. Here are the regulars, appearing daily at all store locations:

• Baguette - made in the classic French style


• Scala - made specifically for use as a sandwich loaf


• Ciabatta - the crust is often fairly dark and crisp, the crumb is the moistest of any of their loaves


• Focaccia - made with rosemary, sage and parsley


• Sesame Sourdough - mild loaf which tastes mostly of toasted sesame seeds


• Whole Wheat Sourdough - similarly mild, the heartiest bread they make


• Sourdough Boule - the well-known sour flavor of traditional sourdoughs

Rosemont’s mission is to make increasingly available the widest possible array of locally grown foods and beverages. They sell some products not originating from within a local-roads radius, but when that’s the case they apply the same principles that matter to them for everything: honest pricing, excellence of flavor, care of the land, care for animals, care for workers and other people, an eye toward future generations.
