Adam grew up in the Boston area and attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Upon returning to Boston after graduation, he had a variety of experiences, including being lead singer in a rock band called Furious George, working for Lotus Software, and writing music journalism. But after taking an improvisational comedic acting class while living in San Francisco, he realized his mission in life is to be funny. In that vein he moved to Los Angeles and he has never looked back.

Adam has been performing standup comedy regularly since 2000. Some of the venues he has performed at include:

Second City
Adam graduated from the Second City Conservatory Program in Los Angeles.
