The ART:  "The Bird" is a 27x13.5" photo collage on wood.  The bird was originally photographed in Griffith Park.  The image was then printed and layered over recycled book pages.  The cherry blossoms are hand painted and the art is then covered with a gel medium for protection.  Made on recycled wood, using found books, encyclopedias, dictionaries and other Los Angeles debris! 

The Artist:  A native of Kinderhook, NY, Patrick Haemmerlein is a freelance designer and artist living in Los Angeles.
