These substantial silver earrings are made with heavy, square wire, shaped into half-circles and joined by rings so that the top and bottom halves swing independently.

The elephants are made of layers of oxidized silver and step on 4 mm spinet "balls". Their eyes are sapphires, and their trunks hold rubies. A saphire bead dangles at the bottom.
