Description

Designed for the grand Rose Main Reading Room of the New York Public Library by famed Beaux-Arts architectural firm Carrére and Hastings (who also designed and constructed the library), this lamp provides scholars and researchers with clean, bright, focused light. The lamp has a white coating inside its brass shade to efficiently reflect and direct light onto reading materials, desk, or tabletop.

Twin 60-watt bulbs (not included) provide ample illumination, while the shade prevents direct glare from shining in a reader's eyes. A pull chain connected to each light bulb socket allows readers to turn on one or both

The solid brass base and shade are durable for long life, and the substantial material ensures stability on a flat surface. Table Lamp. 31" H x 15" Diam. (11 lbs.)

This lamp is no longer being made, hard to find, and collectible.
