It's All Greek to Me: CSC's Greek Festival and Dining

Item Number: 33
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
CSC’s inaugural Greek Festival rediscovers the roots of classic theatre with a month-long celebration of ancient Greek drama. The Festival features the world premiere of Euripides’ IPHIGENIA IN AULIS as translated and adapted by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play) and directed by Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812); staged readings of extant fragments reimagined as full works by Ellen McLaughlin, Charles L. Mee and Mac Wellman; a series of seminars curated by classical Greek scholar Helene Foley; and a workshop production of Aeschylus’s ORESTEIA in a bold experimental deconstruction by emerging artist Jonathan Vandenberg. You’ll receive admission for two to all of these events, and to really keep you in the spirit, you’ll also enjoy your favorite Greek cuisine at Molyvos Restaurant and Taverna Kyclades. The winner will receive:
- Two All-Festival Passes to Classic Stage Company’s Greek Festival
- Lunch or Dinner for Two at Molyvos Restaurant
- $100 Gift Card to Taverna Kyclades
