Receive $450 (three hours worth) in tattoo work of your choice from artist and long-time devotee, Prakash at his Om Tat Sat Studio in Santa Fe. You may bring your own design, let him design one for you, or you can use that time to cover an exsting one up, or cover up a scar or discoloration of you skin with a beautiful design. You may also bring a faded tattoo back to life again. This is good for six months after the close of the auction or until November 3, 2015.

The sacred and spiritual practice of tattoo goes back over 5000 years. The British Celts wore tattoos, as did the early Christians, most of the natives in the South Pacific, Asia and the Americas, to just name a few.
One of the earliest documented cases of tattooing was found on the Iceman, a natural mummy of a man from about 3300 b.c. found in 1991 in a glacier of the European Alps. He had 57 tattoos believed to be associated with healing the body.
Healing, initiation or transformation were excellent reasons to receive a tattoo 5000 years ago and have remained so to this very day.
