"Oh sweet Antoine's.  How I miss you. There are no Italian bakeries in LA (well no good ones) and there is no place that can even shake a stick at The Lake. The lovely, wafting scents from Antoine's, the perfectly perfect cannoli, the Italian Easter Egg Bread (haven't seen one here yet) that makes me cry, the string you pull from the hanging string dispenser (old time-y and sweet), the boxed panettone. All so perfect and delicious. All so homey and soul-satisfying. I miss Antoine's, and I miss The Lake...Mush!"

"Antoine's is one of a kind.  The place is a very traditional bakery, and that is part of its charm.  It looks like its been awhile since the decor was updated (walking in I feel like I am stepping a few decades back in time) and the bakery items are classics.  The staff is always very pleasant and the prices are super reasonable.  The lobster tails, eclairs and cinnamon bread are some of my favorite items."

"I called yesterday to see if Antoines had any Italaian Rum cakes availble since it was my best friend's birthdy. They didn't but the owner offered to make me one and have it ready by 5:00. I took it over my friends house and she absolutely loved this cake. Her family are 100% Italian and compared it to other bakeries they have had rum cakes from and she said this was the best. I also tried it and loved it. I thank Antiones for being so nice to bake me such a delicious cake on such short notice."
