Both camps are completely individualized and are set up with 3 majors (everyday for the session- campers pick) and 3 minors daily.

French Woods Enrichment Center (FWE) is a Premier Northeast US summer camp set in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. The Camp is located in Hancock NY only 2.5 hours from New York City. Campers aged 12-17 have the option of an affordable 2, 4, 6, or 8 week session.

FWE campers can choose from traditional and not-so-traditional summer camp activities with the additional option of summer academic enrichment. Flexibility 

FWE offers 4 two-week sessions allowing you a 2, 4, 6, or 8 week session. Our dates offer families flexibility while planning the summer. Each session is in itself a complete camp season, with a definite beginning and a definite end.

We cater to boys and girls aged 12-17 who are looking for a traditional/but not so traditional summer camp experience. FWE is ideally suited to any camper no matter what their interest or skill level is, including those campers that need summer enrichment in certain subjects.

Our program is fully elective where each camper is afforded individual choice featuring programs in Arts, Sports (water and land sports), Technology, Enrichment, Music, Circus, and so much more. See our Activities page.

Our six-period, major and minor program was pioneered by French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts, where it has been providing campers with the ability to mix concentration and experimentation in their own individually designed program for more than 45 years.
Rock stars spend their time playing music and writing songs, artists work in studios, sports kids work on their skills, circus kids fly through the air, and techie kids experiment in studios ….. it’s entirely up to you.

French Woods is located on a private lake in the western Catskill Mountains of New York State near the Delaware River on the Pennsylvania Border. The camp is approximately two and a half hours from New York City, between Monticello and Binghamton.
