Description
The winning bidder will receive one free week of basketball camp at the JCC for the summer of 2015 for the week of July 6-10. Camp runs from 9 am to 4 pm and takes place on indoor basketball courts at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, 333 Nahanton Street, Newton. The Camp is open to the entire community.
Basketball Camp is for grades k-6 and is offering the following weeks:
- July 6-10
- Aug 10-14
The value is $450 for full day week (9am-4pm) or $325 for half day week (9am-noon).
About JCC Basketball Camp and Sports Camps:
Develop the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing defense while building self-confidence and teamwork skills. Campers will be divided by age and ability. Includes outdoor free swim in the afternoon.
The JCC Summer Sports Camps share three goals: skill-building in a supportive recreational environment; learning cooperation and sportsmanship—and having fun!
Participants learn and practice under the guidance of athletes, certified instructors, coaches and trainers in the JCC’s full-size gym (basketball), and pools, and on tennis courts, ball fields and nearby golf courses. Where appropriate and wherever possible, young athletes are paired with partners of similar age and ability, making for a rewarding and fun experience. Everyone receives Red Cross-approved instructional swim and participates in free swim under the supervision of trained instructors and lifeguards.
The JCC's modern, spacious gyms, pools, tennis courts and sports fields provide a fun, safe environment where young athletes can hone their abilities, make new friends, and learn and improve skills in specific sports. Athletes, certified instructors, coaches and trainers encourage individual skill- and team-building in concentrated one-week sessions. All camps are open to the entire community.

All winning bidders will be charged a transaction fee of 5%, not to exceed $20 per item, to cover a portion of the auction transaction fees.
