The place is called LaundroMutt, which describes itself as a "self-service dog wash and dog lounge." After a romp, dog owners can breeze into LaundroMutt with Fido; instead of the usual knee-crushing, back-breaking chore of washing an uncooperative dog in a tub made for humans, you'll find five elevated groomers' wash stations. Choose among bio-degradable soaps with scents such as "Wild Berry" or "Honey & Almond." Prices start at $5 for a rinse and go up to $23 for the "Uber Spa," which includes specialty shampoos, blow-drying, and other perks. Everything from aprons to towels is provided. Canine products such as toys and beds are sold as well.

If there's a wait, head upstairs to the "BarkaLounge," where dogs and humans can relax on couches, watch "Animal Planet," and enjoy refreshments. LaundroMutt's owners, Evan and Elizabeth Olson, say they plan to host doggie birthday parties by year's end. Rin Tin Tin and Lassie never had it this good.
