Reviews on the Real Deal Deli:
"Bill? Bill McNeal? Is that you?!
All NewsRadio jokes aside...this lunch was epic. Though, I imagine most of their sales are derived of their own creations (salads/wraps/sandwiches/pizza), there is a small case displaying meats which are available for purchase. A pretty sweet little deli with a few tables around the shop, but in the cooler months I'd recommend sitting along the snack bar at the front window (otherwise you may be caught in the draft-zone). The shop is bright and has large comical art pieces painted on the walls; my favorite is of mad scientist Mr.Hyde and his massive sandwich.."

"Being the dainty lady that I am (cough), I wanted something FRESH! Something CRISP! Something that would remind me that warm days are right around the corner!!!....The Pacific Beach Salad? - sounds like a plan, Stan. Baby greens, crumbed goat cheese, dried cranberries, pickled red onions, and drizzled with zinfandel vinaigrette and served with pita bread on the side (7$)."
B"eing the uber-man that my buddy is (cough cough), he opt'ed for an uber-manly sandwich: the Texan (a LARGE): homemade chicken cutlet, jalapeno cheese, lettuce, tomato, BBQ sauce...and BACON (8$). When I tell you this sandwich was "large," I mean that it was "everything's bigger in Texas"-style...meaning: this sandwich was f-ing massive (it was overflowing out of the basket). After he unhinged his jaw to stuff that breaded masterpiece in his mouth, he told me that it was delicious, slightly spicy, and everything he was hoping it would be.
I would love to return to try out their Spring Rolls (7$ gets you who knows how many - but worth a try, I'm sure), and I've heard that the Buffalo Chicken Pizza is devilishly spicy and delicious (the slices - are - massive!). A great little lunch spot!"
