Description

Daniel Santa Lucia Highlands Soberanes Pinot Noir 2011

Winemaker Daniel Fitzgerald made just 54 Magnums of this crisp Pinot Noir from the Soberanes Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The site, planted in 2006, is farmed by the Pisoni and Franscioni families, who together helped put the appellation on the map.  Aged in 50% new French oak for 14 months, the 2011 vintage is presented on a bed of juicy fruit and textured spice.

Signed by the winemaker Dan Fitzgerald

Special Instructions

92 points from Cellar Tracker, Community Tasting Notes: "A twist of molasses winds its way throughout this wine, beginning in the air and concluding in the long finish. An excellent blue-fruited Pinot Noir that doesn't show any deficiencies of the vintage."
