Description
The Brooklyn Museum, housed in a 560,000-square-foot, Beaux-Arts building, is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the country. Its world-renowned permanent collections range from ancient Egyptian masterpieces to contemporary art, and represent a wide range of cultures. Only a 30-minute subway ride from midtown Manhattan, with its own newly renovated subway station, the Museum is part of a complex of nineteenth-century parks and gardens that also includes Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the Prospect Park Zoo.
Museum Hours. Wednesday, 11 a.. to 6 p. Thursday, 11 a m. to 10 p. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11 a.. to 6 p.. The first Saturday of each month except September the Museum is open 11 a.. to 11 p. Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day
Guest passes cannot be used tor Special ticketed exhibitions or events

Only items such as gift certificates that fit in a standard envelope can be mailed if you are unable to pick up. You must notify us by Monday May 11th by emailing gala@sprucestreetnyc.org if you would like your item(s) mailed to you. There is a $1.00 shipping and handling fee for mailed items. Items will be mailed after scheduled pick up days. Pick up dates and times will be announced soon and will be the week after our event on May 9th 2015. Pick up location is at Spruce Street School (PS 397), 12 Spruce Street, NYC 10038. We are not responsible for items if you do not pick up during allotted pick up times and if no mailing arranged.
