Jose was raised in Northern California, after which he moved to Los Angeles in the hope to one day become a celebrity hairstylist. In 1993 he graduated from a prestigious beauty school in Hollywood and worked his way to the top, where he found himself at the biggest yet most conservative salon in the heart of Beverly Hills, UMBERTO's! After many years, having achieved all his goals and having had all the experiences he ever wanted in the world of hair there was one more dream left, and that was to have his own Hair Salon. Mission accomplished. Jose of Beverly Hills was established in 2001 and is still humming along happily!
