Hammerhead Beach Camp - enriching South Bay summers since 1997. Co-founders Bruce Kocsis, a retired 24-year L.A. County Lifeguard and local businessman and Jamie Bateman, a preschool teacher and Hammerhead s Director, began the camp 15 years ago. Their camps Hammerheads, Minis & Guard Prep are designed for children ages 4 to 13. Ocean-based education, ecology and athletics are aspects of the programs. Additionally, arts and crafts, group sand games and snack time are included in daily activity. Hammerhead camps provide the highest level of safety and security, earning "Best of the Beach" 5 years in a row.
