Anthony Fowler, assistant professor at the Harris School, will host up to three guests for a round of golf at Flossmoor Country Club. Founded in 1899, Flossmoor Country Club is one of oldest and most architecturally significant golf courses in the Chicago area. Flossmoor has previously hosted some of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the U.S.;the Western Amateur, Western Open, U.S. Amateur, and PGA Championship. Golf Digest lists Flossmoor as one of the top 25 courses in the state of Illinois and as one of the 10 most important American courses built in its decade; Golfweek lists Flossmoor as one of the top 200 classic courses in the U.S.; Golf Magazine recognized its recent improvements as "Renovation of the Year"; in 2009; and local golfers widely consider Flossmoor to have the most interesting and challenging greens in Chicago.
