Description
In three classes, learn to knit a scarf to keep you warm during the next Chicago winter! In the first class, you will learn and practice the two basic stitches, knit and purl. In the second class, you will learn to cast on and choose a simple design for your scarf. You will also learn how to correct basic mistakes, such as dropped stitches. In the third class, you'll learn how to bind off and how to attach fringe to your new scarf. I've been knitting since age 8 and have several years experience teaching an evening knitting class in Washington, DC -- it paid my bar tab while working for meager NGO wages. Includes beginning materials. No experience necessary.
