Winner will receive 1-week of Project Scientist Academy (For Girls Only).


If you believe your daughter, age 4-14, would benefit from a community of like-minded girls that enjoy exploring through the sciences and celebrating their accomplishments, then Project Scientist is a place just for her! Surrounded by brilliant and passionate STEM teachers, professors, and professionals, your daughter will be inspired and provided the right tools to reach her highest potential. Over the course of five weeks students are immersed in STEM, learning from a tailored curriculum facilitated by highly skilled and credentialed educators, exciting hands-on experiments and field trips, and daily interactions with female STEM role models from a variety of professional fields.


Summer 2015 Themes


Week 1 June 8-12, 2015: "What does the fox say?" - Animals, Zoology, and Veterinary Science. From the warm blooded to the cold blooded, we will explore animal life and the vital role animal sciences plays in our society.


Week 2 June 22-26, 2015: "Under the Sea" - Oceanography, Nautical Engineering, and Aquatic Ecosystem Health. From coral systems and fish populations, to scuba discoveries and aquabots, we will explore the world under the sea.


Week 3 July 6-10, 2015: "Digging the Dino" - Archeology, Paleontology, and Anthropology. There is so much beneath our feet! Students will explore how it got there, figuring out how long it has been there, and what it takes to get it out of there.


Week 4 July 13-17, 2015: "I like to move it, move it" - Locomotion, Automotive Technology, and Transport Engineering. From racecars and sailboats, to roller coasters and rocket ships, we will explore the mechanics and landscape requirements that allow us to navigate any terrain.


Week 5 July 20-24, 2015: "iCode" - Code Synthesis, Information Technology, and Mobile App Development. We all use its product, but can we speak the newest and fastest growing language? We will investigate different platforms of computer technology and information and develop products of code.


Site Locations:



  • California Institute of Technology, 11-14 year olds

  • Longfellow Elementary, 4 - 10 year olds will attend Longfellow M - Th and Friday's Caltech.


*All girls will participate in an offsite Expedition each Wednesday. 

Special Instructions

The winner will be notified of the pick up location after the live event. If the winner is unable to pick up in Pasadena, then they will be charged for shipping.
