The winner will receive an oil sketch done of the person of their choice.  An 8x10 photo with only a headshot will be submitted by the winner to the artist.  The artist will reproduce that imagine as an oil sketch.  (See an example in the attached photo).

About the Artist

The artist is a Hamilton Alumni and is currently a junior at Pasadena High School.

About the Technique

An Oil sketch or oil study is an artwork made primarily in oil paints that is more abbreviated in handling than a fully finished painting. Originally these were created as preparatory studies or modelli, especially so as to gain approval for the design of a larger commissioned painting.
