The Gift, "Noshi" is an ancient tradition of classic origami from Japan.  This custom dates back to the 12th century.  "Noshi" signifies the hope for good fortune that the giver has for the recipient.  The giving of a "Noshi" is practiced today.  It is often given as the wrapping of a hostess gift at a dinner party or similar affair.
