Description

Murphy Goode Wild Card Claret 2003

This proprietary blend of four Bordeaux varieties represents Murphy Goode’s flexible approach to creating the best wine from their greatest ‘winning hand’ of grapes. The 2003 vintage of Wild Card Claret, is a seamless marriage of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine was aged 12 months in French and American oak barrels, 20% of which were new.

This harmonious wine offers aromas of blackberry and cassis with hints of toasty oak and bay leaf. The dense, full-palate delivers complex flavors of black cherry and fresh herbs and finishes with a sweet oak impression. A luscious wine, complementing grilled meat and all manner of duck preparations. This wine is an easy-going accompaniment to most red sauces and it loves pizza. But really, who doesn’t love pizza?

Clavo Cellars 2006 Petite Sirah - Dreamer

It’s a bold yet velvety, intense yet balanced, a testament to the remarkable fruit grown at little Catherine’s Vineyard between Paso Robles and Creston. Aromas of violets and blueberry anticipate juicy, luscious flavors of boysenberry, blackberry, mocha and vanilla bean. The texture is deep and silky, finishing with sweet, supple tannins.
