"This instrument uses state-of-the-art ceramics to provide the science teacher [that would be Mutlu] with a remarkable top surface. The ceramic top material offers high-impact strength, remarkable chemical resistance and a bright white color to enhance solution visibility.

"The heating elements are embedded in the ceramic top so there are no exposed or glowing heat sources. The hot plate portion of the instrument will reach maximum temperature (538ºC) within eight minutes. Power indicator lights are provided for both functions, i.e., stirring and/or heating."
