Tracy Hutt uses classical jewelry techniques practiced by ancient Romans, Greeks and Egyptians, to create modern updated styles. She works both in 22K and 18K, and is currently finalizing a collection of more affordable vermeil (sterling silver, plated thickly in gold) jewelry. Her styles are "classically trendy," whereby she uses the highest quality gold and stones to make delicate, artistic versions of popular costume jewelry. In addition to newly made pieces, Tracy also works with private clients to re-design family heirlooms towards a sophisticated look. Her creative influences include nature (leaves, acorns, flowers, sun, moon) and found objects (keys, coins, seashells). Tracy's experience following retail trends, also influences her pieces more modern style, as well as melting outdated gold pieces and forming the gold into wire and sheet for an entirely new design.

Tracy Hutt has studied hand made jewelry fabrication for the past 7 years at the 92nd Street Y, under the tutelage of Pamela McFarland, Donna DiStefano, Lisa Spiros, and Jiwon Han. She currently manufactures her custom pieces from her studio and home in lower Manhattan, and works with artisans on 47th street to duplicate some of her favorite pieces.
