Filmmaker John Bush shares the truth, beauty and mystery of these ancient Buddhist cultures with an artist's awareness.

About the three films:

A timeless journey along the celebrated rivers of Southeast Asia, "Dharma River" explores the universal ideals of wisdom, compassion, and inner peace at the very heart of these ancient Buddhist cultures. In dozens of temples, caves, and shrines, the Buddha image reverberates continually, yet it is never the same.

"Vajra Sky Over Tibet" offers a cinematic pilgrimage to central Tibet, bearing witness to the indomitable faith of its endangered Buddhist community and the imminent threat to its very survival.

And, "Prajna Earth" continues the journey to sacred sites of the natural world, traveling through vibrant Hindu Bali, witnessing trance dancers in the jungles of Java, and discovering the gigantic seven level mandala wonder of Buddhist Borobudur.

An award winning filmmaker, John Bush has lived and traveled in Asia for more than three decades, sharing its sacred sites, culture and images in his work. While playing in scores of major festivals, museums and theaters around the world, John's films are now broadcast on PBS as well as abroad. His studio is on the harbor in lower Manhattan.

Special Note: Direct Pictures is now shooting the final locations of Journey Om: Into the Heart of India, a feature-length documentary of revered places in India from its steamy southern tip to the snows of the Himalayas.
