Description

Thich Nhat Hanh's calligraphies are among the most popular prints in the Lion's Roar Foundation's online Store. This year we're offering auction bidders three prints in a single set.

The beloved teacher Thich Nhat Hanh executed the originals of "This is it", "Peace is every step", and "I have arrived I am home" as part of a larger gift of calligraphies for the magazine when he was interviewed by editor Melvin McLeod at Deer Park Monastery near San Diego in 2005. The calligraphies accompanied the article, "This is the Buddha's Love," in the March 2006 issue. Thay, as Thich Nhat Hanh is lovingly called by his students, has been an ardent friend and supporter of the Lion's Roar Foundation, and granted his permission for us to reproduce these works for our benefit.

Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, poet, scholar, and peace activist. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967 by Martin Luther King Jr. for his efforts in generating peace and reconciliation in his native country. Thich Nhat Hanh travels internationally, teaching from his book The Art of Mindful Living.
