The photograph captures the full moon light offering during Kalachakra Initiation at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya, India in 2003.

Olivier Adam works regularly for His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Private Office as official photographer during His Holiness’ European teachings. He is also working on a long-term project called ”Daughters of Buddha”, documenting the life and practice of Tibetan Buddhist nuns in Himalayan nunneries.
