Description
Ease into summer with a mini-engineering camp! Boys and girls entering 4th or 5th grade will
design, build, test, and revamp models as they develop in-depth understandings of energy through an exploration of concepts such as potential and kinetic energy, speed, energy transfer and energy conversion. Then they'll apply their discoveries as they build prototypes for new products. Taught by a National Board Certified Teacher, the camp aligns with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) standards. That said, don't let the educational value throw you off -- this mini-camp is all hands-on and a lot of fun! Ipad helpful but not required. Camp will be held in the Crocker Highlands Multi-purpose Room, June 22-26, from 10AM to 12PM. It is limited to 8 rising 4th or 5th graders. $100 per student.
