Description

China Traditional Fishing, large print from David Vaala Photography.

Huang Nengdi uses net and birds (cormorants) to catch fish in the Xialong River, a small tributary of the Li River, which runs through the spectacular karst formations in this area.  Net casting and the use of cormorants are traditional fishing techniques employed across China and Southeast Asia.  He has several cormorants on his fishing raft.
