The Goblikins don't know how they came to be in the foreset, or what happened to their parents. They awoke to find themselves changed - no longer children, or even completely human. Banding together to survive the Dark Forest, they must use their new animal traits to uncover a way to return to their families. 

Ratty is a bright light in the Dark Forest, always positive, cheerful, and loyal. Before he became a Goblinkin, he was raised by his doting Grandparents. His Grandmother taught him everything she knew about cooking, and he is a natural at it. Using his amazing nose, he sniffs out just what he needs to turn an ordinary meal into something extraordinary.
