Minnesota Center for Book Arts: One Free 2-3 Hour Family Class

Family classes allow kids and their adults to work side-by-side creating fun and unique books, handmade paper and printmaking projects.

Learn about the techniques, processes and tools you are using while exploring the world of book arts. MCBA’s family and preschool classes support literacy and pre-literacy skills, develop manual dexterity, and spark a lifelong love of books and art. See class descriptions below for appropriate age ranges.

Every participant (children and adults) will receive a set of materials for each project; adult/child pairs may choose to work side-by-side and complete two, or work together using one set and take the other set home.

Children ages 9 and up may take family workshops with an adult or independently.
