Enjoy an afternoon of birding with a Guided Bird Tour from New World Birding. Good for up to 4 people for a local half day tour (4-5 hours) in the Rochester area. Your tour will be led by top birder, Jesse Rubenstein of New World Birding. Your group will meet at Cobb's Hill and travel to a few local hot spot areas for birds. Tours can be scheduled from August - October on a mutually agreeable date. Hiking shoes or sneakers and comfortable attire are strongly recommended. Tour participants should also bring adequate water. Loaner binoculars will be provided for the tour participants.Participants should expect to find a number of summer breeding birds and year round residents such as various warblers, vireos, sparrows, and possible owls.

Jesse Michael Rubenstein is the owner of New World Birding LLC, a guided birding tour company. He is an ornithology and environmental science graduate student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he has taught courses in biology. His graduate research focuses on using Geographic Information Systems to identify new habitats for the Golden-winged Warbler, an internationally threatened bird species. He was ranked top 100 birders in New York State in 2011 by Cornell Lab of Ornithologys eBird program and all time top 100 eBirders in Monroe and Erie counties. Jesse has spent time birding in the Amazon jungles of Peru, the cloud forests of Costa Rica, and the coastal lagoons of Southwestern Mexico. Jesses field job experience includes working for Project Puffin on Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge off the coast of Maine, and conducting point counts for the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory in the national parks of Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. In addition, he has been a volunteer bird bander at the Braddock Bay Bird Observatory in New York since 2011.
