Enjoy taking your family to Lockport to visit the Erie Canal Discovery Center and the Niagara County Historical Society History Center!

The Erie Canal Discovery Center is an interactive museum adjacent to the Lockport Locks that highlights the building of the Erie Canal and the Flight of Five locks. It features interactive exhibits and a 15-minute multi-media presentation that includes a virtual trip through a lock in 1825. The life and times of canawlers, people who lived and worked on the Erie Canal are also exhibited.

The Niagara County Historical Society History Center presents a glimpse of area life in Niagara County over the last 175 years. The Outwater Memorial Building is an 1863 brick home featuring a Victorian Parlor and pantry, the Old Toy Room, the Civil War Room and a changing exhibit room. The site also includes the Washington Hunt Law Office, the Pioneer and Transportation Building, the Yates Barn and the Kandt House
