Description
This 16"x16" "Paul McCartney" painting on canvas, created by Ann Cox Strub, depicts the legendary Beatles musician.
About the Artist:
Like her mother, Evelyn Daniel Cox, Ann Cox Strub attended Newcomb College. She majored in theatre as a undergraduate and continued her theatrical studies at Tulane, receiving a master’s degree in 1966. While working on her master’s degree, she had the good fortune to study in France under Jacques LeCoq, who trained with Marcel Marceau’s troupe. After completing her studies and marrying, she joined the Peace Corps and spent two years in Brazil, adventuring in other South American countries as well.
For many years following her return to the United States, Strub’s career focused on the performing arts and teaching. She was a theatre instructor at the University of New Orleans, the Louise S. McGehee School, and in the Orleans Parish public school system for over 30 years.
