Ellen lived in Los Angeles where she apprenticed under jewelry designers Melinda Maria and Chan Luu.  While in L.A., she studied various techniques of design at UCLA. After California, she moved to South Carolina where she spent valuable time apprenticing for her remarkable aunt, Melanie Mauldin, and her expanding fashion jewelry business, Handpicked. Today she is back home in New Orleans, doing this work she loves. With all the knowledge acquired from these fresh experiences, as well as an urge to explore her creativity, EllenL became a second nature expression of her chosen path.
