Description
"Secondline" is a framed photograph by Michael Mastrogiovanni of MJM Images depicting a brass band in a crowd of secondliners walking through the streets of New Orleans. This unique image stems from the artist's technique of making "digital watercolors".
Measures approximately 13.5" x 15.5" with frame
About the Artist:
I have been taking photographs for years. In 2013, I got a new camera for my 1st ever assignment as a (volunteer) photographer at Jazzfest and I figured that I better learn how to use it. I quickly discovered how to make what I am calling digital watercolors and the results are here for you to see.
All images have been made on location in New Orleans in the various parks, streets and neighborhoods as I traveled the city- during the day and at night- by bicycle. I have attempted to capture some of my favorite things about New Orleans including the unique music and street culture, the architecture, the natural environment, the well known landmarks and -most interesting to me - the local establishments (bars, groceries, buildings) in the various neighborhoods that give this wonderful city its unique character.
