The Museum is the Official National Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame honoring Horses, Trainers, and Jockeys. The Hall of Fame was created to recognize and honor deserving horses, jockeys, and trainers. As of Hall of Fame Day 2013, members include 197 Thoroughbreds, 97 jockeys, 92 trainers, and the first two Pillars of the Turf. All are racing heroes.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is located in Saratoga Springs, New York, across from the historic Saratoga Race Course, the oldest operating track in the country.
