About the artist: Christine Ahia combines her fascination of the natural environment with her art work during hiking, camping, and service trips. Painting on location, known as plein air painting with pastels, is what she enjoys best. As a regional painter and volunteer conservationist, she keeps expanding her knowledge of native plants, trees, and birds in various locations to understand, honor, and portray them in her paintings.
