Description

This circa 1945-50 illustration and poem take you back to Old Hawaii: "A house I'd build and build it good of koa boards and sandalwood". The poem was penned by W.J. Ashley, a Commander during WWII while staying in the islands. It was illustrated by W.A. McKenzie and is reminiscent of noted poet and illustrator, Don Blanding. It has a small tear top center, discolorations overall and measures 10.5"x13.5".
