This item, besides being particularly lovely, also offers a little piece of Hawaii's history. It is an antique (circa 1875) cake serving set of knife and fork, silver plated with reed and heron design, measuring 9" and 13" long. The handles feature antique ivory with a beautiful pearlescent grain. It is housed in a blue velvet lined box with a cute vintage Christmas card enclosed. The card is addressed to Pat & Rally (Greenwell) and inside is signed by Richard (Smart), owner and last heir to the Parker Ranch, for many years the largest, single owned ranch in the US. A fascinating provenance for a stunning collectible!
